Crafted to provide residents with a sense of luxury and security in their latter years.We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our innovative Pacific Coast Care Centre – Te Manaaki team. An individual who understands a holistic approach to memory assistance care and is aligned with our vision of personalised and tailored care. There is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to caring for somebody living with dementia. We are looking for someone with a passionate and caring nature, who wants to make a difference.The Care Centre is a modern facility with 57 highly appointed care suites over two levels, offering rest home, hospital and dementia (D3) level care. Te Manaaki extended living spaces and amenity are substantial and have been carefully curated to present as highly residential, providing residents with choice of environment and a sense of home.Like other Generus Living care centres, Te Manaaki places a significant emphasis on personalised care, where residents will take the lead in their own lifestyle and be supported by a collaborative approach between our clinical staff and family. It is recognised that this extra time, effort and energy to adopt and engage in this model of care delivers significant outcomes, enhancing the daily life of both our residents and team.You will be working closely with Te Manaaki care team, the diversional therapist and the resident families to support the residents with their daily tasks to live life to the full with dignity and respect. Effective communication will be the essential part of the role to provide the support and understanding needed to enhance the residents' well-being and overall quality of life.RequirementsHold L4 Health and Wellbeing Certificate or equivalent, or 3 years relevant experienceMedimap and HCSL care planning solution experience advantageousThis is a permanent full-time role with 40 hours per weekAbility to work on a rostered and permanent shift basis, including evenings and weekendsThe Successful Candidate will have:Passion for caring for older peopleThe ability to provide compassionate and high-quality careThe ability to support residents and understand and execute care plans with the resident and their families.The ability to work independentlyPersonal QualitiesPatient and motivatedCollaborative team playerCreative and resourcefulConfident and self-awareWe certainly appreciate the market is presenting significant employment choice at this time.
