Health Care Assistant

Fergusson Home & Retirement Village are looking for health care assistants to join our amazing team. You will provide exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Work closely with a team to implement our individual care plans. Full training provided.

Some Duties include but are not limited to:
Assisting residents with personal cares, while encouraging residents to make decisions that promote independence
Completing delegated tasks in a timely manner
Responding quickly to resident requests, providing them with useful, relevant information
Maintaining and updating resident healthcare records
Assisting with handover of residents at shift changes
Skills and Experience
People skills with empathy for the elderly and their families
Good written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to work rostered shifts – this includes the weekends
Experience not essential - full training will be provided
