Job Description - Health Care Assistant, Emergency Department (HAU02112) Health Care Assistant, Emergency DepartmentTe whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity This is an opportunity to join our busy Emergency Department. You will be an experienced health care provider that is able to work as part of our team, be calm under pressure and contribute to the care of our patients. This is a 0.8 FTE position that involves rostered/rotating shifts 24/7.
This position works as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team and provides safe and appropriate assistance to inpatient whanau focusing on recovery within the emergency department setting.
Candidates need to have experience recognizing and addressing cultural differences, be familiar with the Treaty of Waitangi, and have an understanding of a hospital environment.
All candidates will be subject to a police check.
