We have a triage area, a rapid assessment area, dedicated resuscitation areas, acute, sub-acute and paediatric cubicles. Our department carries out all acute care, including full patient resuscitation facilities, management of trauma, fractures, injuries etc. It is expected that the successful candidates will participate in all aspects of the roster, including weekends and night shifts as we operate 24/7. It is therefore important you have the flexibility to commit to these rostered shifts.As Health Care Assistant you will be involved in:Supporting our nurses and other members of the health care teamPatient cares, as required.Ward maintenancePatient watch/supervision, with one-on-one care as required.About youMust already hold work rights as these roles do not qualify for visa sponsorship.Committed to high standards of practice.Well organised and have excellent communication skills.Experience working with people in a caring capacity is also essential, whether that experience is gained from within a professional environment, or from caring for children or family members.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Please state in your cover letter which role you prefer.How to ApplyTo view the position description and/or apply for the role please click "apply now."
