About the Role: Behind every service onsite is a team of people quietly going about their business making things tick! In Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Te Matau a Maui, Hawke's Bay, one of those is our team of Health Care Assistants. As a Health Care Assistant, you will work within our team of skilled clinical and non-clinical staff who provide quality, comprehensive services ensuring our patients and their whanau are well cared for.
While ideally, you will have hospital experience, we will ensure you are given thorough orientation and support. You will work under the direction and delegation of clinical staff and develop a wide range of skills and experience.

About You: To be successful in this role you will need:
Experience caring for people in a similar role
A passion for people and the community
A genuine desire to help and support others
New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Level 3) (or be willing to study towards this)
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
