Our Levin Home for War Veterans and Reevedon Home are both based in Levin. Reevedon is a vibrant home offering rest home care, while Levin Home offers rest home and hospital level care, secure dementia care and independent rental units.Mo te turanga - About the roleAs a Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to our residents in their daily living and social requirements. You will also encourage residents to maintain their independence and make decisions for themselves. Your key responsibilities will be:Deliver the highest standard of personalised care to every ResidentSupport and encourage residents to maintain their independence and make decisions for themselvesAssist and support the activities of daily living in a way that meets the Eden principles and the Domains of WellbeingTake instruction and tasks from the Registered NurseEnsure resident's needs are attended to effectively and in a timely mannerWe are looking for people interested in either casual or part-time shifts. We work with a fixed roster so you can plan ahead but the ability to offer some flexibility to pick up additional shifts, to provide cover in the home is always welcomed. So get in touch and have a chat with us, we'd love to hear from you.Mo koe - About YouAs well as a passion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well organised with great interpersonal skills and a sense of humour. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect.
