We at TOTAL INFRASTRUCTURE LIMITED have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and committed operations Health and Safety officer to join our Health & Safety team at Mt Roskill, Auckland. This is an evolving role for a hard-working person to assist the management team with all health, safety & environmental compliance.

We are seeking a motivated applicant who preferably has good technical strengths. We are a workplace committed to training and will provide support and further training to the successful applicant.

Duties will include:

Maintain and champion Intermediate H&S qualification

Investigations in the workplace

Training and Development

Implementation of new procedures or policies

Compliance

Identifying problem/barriers

Reporting with excellent written and communication skills

Effectively induct new workers, vessels crew, and sub-contractors to the shipyard

Conduct internal Audits

To be successful you will have:

Strong Health & Safety background, ideally from Civil or Construction Industry

Strong interpersonal and listening skills

Well-developed research and presentation skills

Understanding of NZ HSE laws

Efficient use of MS Office Suite
