About the role:
You'll play pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of the workforce by managing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all health and safety programs. Leading a team of H&S advisors, your main duties and responsibilities will include:
Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Deliver engaging and informative safety training sessions to equip employees with the knowledge and skills necessary to work safely and effectively Collaborate closely with departmental managers and front line staff to proactively address safety concerns, provide guidance on risk mitigation strategies, and promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, participate in inspections and audits, and ensure timely compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements About you:
As this is a senior role within the organisation, you'll need to be an experienced H&S Manager with lots of leadership experience. As the manufacturing industry brings about it's own unique challenges, having experience in this sector would be a great benefit. As you'll be working with people throughout all levels of the organisation, having excellent communication skills and a passion for creating a health and safety conscious workforce is an absolute must.
You'll also need to have a diploma in H&S or similar qualifications, as well as having excellent legislative and tehnical knowledge of health and safety management.
