We have two, full time, permanent opportunities available.Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Risk, the Health and Safety Coordinator - Event Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the safe delivery of all VO events working alongside our workforce as well as our contractors and clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining and overseeing all aspects of health and safety protocols and procedures for VO events.About YouThe Health and Safety Coordinator - Event Operations, like all roles at Venues Otautahi, is a hands-on role and will involve some evenings and weekend work to meet the needs of our event schedule.You will have a minimum of two years prior experience as a Health and Safety Coordinator, knowledge of relevant legislation, be a confident communicator and have the ability to build quality relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Prior experience working in the events industry would be an advantage.The successful candidate will have the ability to clearly identify problems, seek alternative solutions, identify risks and implement controls, seek input from others and make sound decisions based on these considerations.We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to collaborate effectively across the organisation.We act with aspiration, agility, kindness and are driven to take care of the venues to make them places of pride and delight for everyone.
