We have a dedicated team of Field Technicians, Designers, and Engineers together with the latest technology and high-quality machinery to provide civil and undergrounding services.As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for the following:Support in achieving Civtec's health and safety objectives by guiding the development, implementation, and compliance of the Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) and providing expert advice on health, safety, and risk management across the organization.Providing outstanding health and safety advice, support, and delivery of collaborative health and safety outcomes, in line with Civtec's collaborative contract, with one of our key customers.Promote a risk-based approach to safety, aligning with company values, vision, and strategic objectives.Ability to effectively bridge the gap between operational needs and regulatory or policy requirements, providing health and safety solutions that are safe, efficient, and compliant.Provide coaching and mentoring across the organization, supporting engagement with health and safety, wellness, and culture.Conduct and review risk assessments, ensuring hazard management is accurately reflected in written procedures.Partner with key stakeholders to develop, implement, and drive initiatives within a fast-paced environment.To be successful in this role, we are seeking candidates with:Minimum 4 years previous experience in a Health and Safety advisory role, or similar, in New Zealand or Australia.NZQA Level 4 Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent industry experience.Working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA) and its amendments, and other relevant legislation, regulations, and approved codes of practice applicable to business operations.Proven experience of maintaining 'fit for purpose' Health and Safety Management Systems relevant to the organization, its size, and risk profile.Strong oral and written communication skills.
