Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher

Health and physical education

Fixed term full-time teacher required to teach health and physical education (both junior and senior/NCEA levels) to cover study leave in 2025 for 32 weeks (24 February to 16 November 2025).
Minimum Requirements Trained and qualified teacher, with current NZ teacher registration.
Qualification in health and physical education.
Experience in working with young people.
Experience in NCEA qualifications, particularly in health and physical education.
Experience in working with Maori and Pasifika young people.
Knowledge of and understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum .
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to motivate teachers to motivate and enthuse young people to learn.
Ability and willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school outside the classroom.
The ability to complete other tasks as included in the job description.
Knowledge of the Tokoroa community and a belief in the potential of the young people at Tokoroa High School.
Able to be actively involved in extra-curricular activity.
