Heathcote Valley Montessori Preschool, Canterbury Head teacher – Montessori ECE centre Full time, Permanent Early learning / kohanga reo, Certificated teacher Belonging / Mana Whenua, Contribution / Mana Tangata, Communication / Mana Reo, Exploration / Mana Aoturoa, Well-being / Mana Atua Seeking applicants who are experienced in head teacher roles, or are perhaps looking to make that next step in their career.
Current vacancy is in our 3 to 6 aged room.
We are a Montessori preschool and as such, this opportunity will suit a teacher who is either experienced in, or interested in learning about, the Montessori philosophy of teaching.

Responsibilities: Provide a safe and supportive environment, ensuring the wellbeing of each child.
Foster and lead positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Assist with building and driving an engaging and age-appropriate curriculum.
Complete detailed planning and assessment for children.
Lead and collaborate with the team, to plan and execute enriching activities and events.
Required experience and skill set: Experience in the ECE sector.
Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
A passion for fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Successful applicants will have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
