Head Teacher

We are a small, friendly family-oriented, well-established community kindergarten in the heart of Avondale (Auckland) that operates in line with school terms. We are licensed to teach up to 50 children, aged 2½ to 5 years.
We are looking for a qualified kaiako with at least 5 years working experience in New Zealand who has been a head teacher or interested in working as a head teacher.
The successful applicant will have vision and passion for implementing our local curriculum which is founded on our christian philosophy. You will support our manager and together lead our kindergarten towards continuous improvement.
You will have a passion for pedagogical leadership and will be an effective communicator with staff, children and their whanau. Each day you will lead our team of passionate kaiako as they work towards developing children's identity in light of the learning we value.
You will have a lead role in curriculum planning and mentoring our teachers as part of the Professional Growth Cycle, the registration process and our internal evaluations. Professional development will be given, if not confident in mentoring teachers.
This position will start on 20 January 2025.
