About the Role:
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The Head Teacher will make a positive impact on the centre, embodying the centre's values and vision while inspiring and motivating the team. Previous experience in a Head Teacher role is advantageous but not essential.
The position is based in the mixed over 2's room, where tamariki are encouraged to develop self-help skills and independence. The centre's "Be School Ready" initiative is incorporated into everyday practice, helping to prepare children for the next steps in their learning journey.
Role Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a natural leader who shares the centre's values and vision, with a strong understanding of programme planning and assessment. A passion for growth and quality education is essential.
Additional requirements:
B.Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current Teacher Certification
Strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy, and curriculum
Good knowledge of current ECE regulations, Te Whariki, and a strong commitment to compliance
Passionate and committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
