Head Saw Doctor

The Role


The Head Saw Doctor is responsible for the efficient day-to-day saw doctoring operations and general maintenance of the Saw Shop. You will actively plan, facilitate and supervise work to ensure that all saws are repaired, sharpened and finished to a high quality in accordance with Saw Shop specifications and best practice standards to guarantee reliability and availability of saws in the Sawmill.

Our ideal candidate will have the following. Level 4 trade qualification in saw doctoring Certificate in solid wood manufacturing preferred Minimum 2 years tradesman experience preferred Some of the skills and competencies our ideal candidate will have Strong focus on Saw Doctoring techniques Strong mechanical aptitude Good interpersonal skills Ability to plan and organise Sound judgement Strong work ethic Strong health and safety focus What you will get in return Life Insurance Medical insurance and family discount Kiwisaver contribution Relocation costs Remuneration package totalling between $90,000 - $100,000 Room to grow your career
