This includes the rebalancing of portfolios, efficient trade execution, and effective liquidity management to optimise the performance and stability of the portfolios.The Head of Trading is also expected to proactively identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, driving greater efficiencies across trading operations. This includes working closely with internal teams to streamline workflows, improve risk management, and enhance the overall delivery of services to both internal stakeholders and external clients.Key Responsibilities:The Head of Trading will lead the trading team, overseeing the execution of trades across equities, fixed interest, foreign exchange, and derivatives to ensure optimal outcomes. This role is responsible for maintaining liquidity, rebalancing portfolios, and developing and maintaining order management systems to support effective trading operations.Skills & Experience Required:Proven experience leading trading teams at the senior management level.Strong background in funds management with knowledge of portfolio management, trading processes, and systems.Expertise across multiple asset classes and markets, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange.Familiarity with financial market practices, rules, and regulations in New Zealand and internationally.Demonstrated success in supporting trading, liquidity management, hedging, and rebalancing for large multi-asset portfolios.Ability to drive business process improvements and ensure regulatory compliance.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex material to varied audiences.Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a similar role.Strong relationship management skills, with experience working collaboratively across teams and with external partners.About Fisher Funds:Fisher Funds is a leading investment management company in New Zealand with ambitious plans for growth.
