If you sound like that leader, read on. The opportunity: As the Head of Strategy, you'll play a pivotal role in coordinating and implementing our strategic programme. Reporting directly to the Chief Product & Strategy Officer, you'll have the opportunity to directly influence strategic decisions for AIA NZ. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating and facilitating the annual strategic plan process, along with any ad-hoc strategic planning requirements from AIA Group Serving as the liaison to AIA Group, supporting strategic planning and reporting processes Identifying, prioritising, and governing strategic initiatives to ensure successful strategy execution Managing the Strategic Initiatives Portfolio and prioritising initiatives, including reporting and governance Analysing the local and global landscape, conducting competitor analysis, and providing insights and recommendations to drive our strategic direction Providing support to business units in identifying, prioritising, and implementing strategic initiatives aligned with the overall strategy Adapting flexibly to manage priorities and meet key deadlines effectively. Ideally, you'll bring: Proven track record of 10+ years in a senior strategy role within professional services, strategic consultancy, or a large corporate environment Conceptual and strategic thinking ability, with experience influencing at the Executive, Board, and Group levels A passion for driving positive cultural change and continuous improvement, with the ability to effectively package information for senior audiences Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with superior relationship management experience Expertise in strategic frameworks and methodologies to guide decision-making and execution Strong negotiation and influencing skills, coupled with the ability to interpret complex information and translate it into actionable solutions Experience managing multiple competing stakeholder priorities and driving change at varying levels within the organisation Technical expertise in analytical problem-solving, financial acumen, and organisational planning Significant financial services experience, preferably within the insurance industry, along with strong leadership and mentorship skills.
