About the role As we continue our growth plan and our strategic sourcing capabilities internally, we are seeking a true strategic leader to head this crucial part of our business.
As the Head of Strategic Sourcing and based in our Newmarket office, you will develop, execute and drive the strategic sourcing strategy and execution plans to deliver meaningful change to the Group's supplier relationships and sourcing spend.
This is an exciting role which will see you make meaningful change and input in our direction!
Key Responsibilities will include: Ownership of the strategic direction of sourcing within the Group - lead the development, implementation and execution of strategic sourcing policies, strategies and objectives.Set the standard for supplier engagement by building senior-level relationships with suppliers.Lead the strategic sourcing team to deliver high-quality outcomes for the business.Collaborate with the ESG Lead to embed the Group's ESG desires into the business.Work with the wider organisation to drive the company strategic plan (aka "Full Potential Plan") by providing influential commercial advice.Keep your team and the wider organisation connected through prolific communication and inclusive engagement.About you? At the heart of all your strategy, tone and direction will be the outcomes for our residents.
You will have a service and support mentality but be highly commercial.
Other key experiences and attributes that you will bring include:
Very strong experience in a senior commercial leadership role, e.g.
sourcing, procurement, sales or a similar customer/supplier-facing role.Naturally exceptional at building relationships with multiple stakeholders.A proven leader with the ability to grow and develop a team.Experience in writing and delivering complex contracts with strong commercial outcomes and being very familiar with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software.Able to contribute to big picture and able to look outside the industry to innovate.Extensive experience in managing/leading complex projects.About us Established in 1984, Metlifecare is a leading owner and operator of retirement villages, providing rewarding lifestyles and care to more than 6,500 New Zealanders.
