Account & Relationship Management (Sales) Full time Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 per year + Commission + ESOP
At Croptide, we are on a mission to make it easy to grow great fruit every season. We believe plant-based insights supported by AI can digitize key processes to grow better crops, improve operational efficiency, and reduce environmental impact. We are a fast-moving NZ startup, working with some of the most respected companies in the fruit and wine industries and backed by tier one Silicon Valley investors. The Croptide sensor is a first-of-its-kind device that attaches directly to the trunk of crops, such as apple trees and grapevines, to read key insights in real-time. About This Role We are seeking an independent, team-oriented Head of Sales to join our team in a role based in New Zealand. This key role will involve ownership of Croptide's revenue growth with both existing and new customers. There will be the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on customers, helping transform industries to be equipped to face the future. You will work closely with other departments to ensure alignment between sales, marketing, and product development efforts.

Workflow is fast-paced, team-oriented, and constantly evolving as to be expected with an early-stage technology startup. The Croptide team unashamedly has high expectations of each other. The role will entail a healthy mix of internal and external engagement.
What You'll Do Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets Build strong and meaningful relationships with customers Develop a deep understanding of customer problems and how best Croptide can solve them Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to achieve individual and team goals Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with company objectives Forecast sales, analyse data, and report on sales performance Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences What You Bring At least 5 years experience in a relevant sales role in the agricultural industry Experience specifically in the fruit or wine industries is preferred Good interpersonal skills; able to work cross-functionally with all departments Skills relevant to most of the jobs listed above, and willingness to learn in other areas A proactive approach, eager to grow the business and deeply connect with our customers Familiar with Google Suite and comfortable with technology, in particular working remotely Must have a valid clean driver's license, a passport, and the ability to travel overseas Location and Work Hours The role is to be based in one of the regions where Croptide has existing offices: Auckland, BoP, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, or Marlborough. This is a full-time role involving flexible working hours to suit the candidate, including potentially some weekend work, with a high level of independence and self-management. Time on the ground with customers and leads will be key, so a significant amount of travel to key regions (including international) will be required.
