You will need to bring a contemporary approach, a can-do attitude and a passion for creating a positive culture. Balancing leading the safety team, influencing safety strategy direction, being a change innovator, ensuring foundational safety processes are effective and being hands-on across diverse operational environments are all key aspects of this opportunity.At the heart of this role is the ability to influence, coach and empower people at all levels from senior management to the front-line. To be a thought leader in ways that co-design safety processes and systems with employees, with the ability to shift mindsets in a constantly evolving workplace.Leading a team of regionally based safety professionals, the provision of sound risk advice to the business is essential, as is working collaboratively with the Board, CEO, executive team and wider business. Developing and presenting board papers is another important aspect of the role.Ideally, you will have at least eight years of relevant safety leadership experience at a senior level, in a high-risk, complex, nationwide business. You must be passionate about safety, and a proven leader of people able to influence a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.A depth of experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis and serious incident management and oversight is essential.
