As a vital member of the Finance Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will steer the strategic direction of our Procurement and Property functions across New Zealand and the Pacific. Dive into the Heart of Your Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the Procurement function, which includes Property, driving and executing savings strategies, continuous improvements and efficiencies.
Drive commercially focused procurement outcomes that will deliver savings for Tower, including ensuring there are practical procurement frameworks in place that support business owners in managing their procurement activity.
Oversee the outsourced property and facilities relationships and ensure simple self-service tools and support are in place for the business to access.
Drive transformative change in a complex business, push the boundaries as needed; initiate and achieve fundamental change with positive, high impact results.
Attract, lead, and build world-class talent within the business; inspire people to perform at a higher level by leading by example, translate strategies into operational plans, manage performance, lift overall capability, and increase overall engagement.
Provide support and advice to business owners in relation to more complex commercial negotiations, working in conjunction with Legal as appropriate.
Take senior leadership accountability for understanding and operationally managing costs.
Implement customer centric, simplified, and automated processes.
What You'll Need
The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a passion for driving transformative change, exceptional strategic thinking, and a proven track record in procurement and property management.
To be successful in this role, you will also demonstrate the following:
6-8 years' procurement experience.
Tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience.
Demonstrated experience in building and fostering strong relationships with business partners.
Proven expertise in systems, implementations and change delivery.
Exceptional leadership capability to inspire and lead a high achieving team to deliver results.
Prior experience in leading complex commercial negotiations.
Proven track record of agile thinking, challenging the status quo, and creating and delivering innovative solutions.
