The role is responsible for setting the strategic priorities and overseeing the marketing programme of work for personal customers. It provides direction to Squad Leads and provides programme leadership of multi-discipline teams across the Marketing COE to ensure effective delivery of the strategy.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Working across the Marketing COE to define segment priorities, identify insights and determine what new propositions, initiatives and campaigns are required to achieve the strategic marketing plan.Managing senior stakeholder relationships for the segment across the business on behalf of the Marketing COE.Creating positive customer outcomes by ensuring that propositions, initiatives, programmes and campaigns enhance the financial wellbeing of our customers.Managing the total marketing budget for the segment and investing it to optimise ROI across all marketing channels.Programme leadership of all Marketing squads focused on this segment by providing direction and accountability on marketing outcomes.Ensuring alignment of all activity for this segment across the Marketing COE.Approval point for publishing all external customer communications.Stakeholder management – communicate and gain buy-in of plans with mid-senior stakeholders.Effective leadership – values led leadership providing clarity on strategy, priority and desired outcomes, and galvanising multi-disciplinary teams around common goals.Budget allocation and management.Ensuring initiatives are developed in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements.Ensuring all financial, reputational and operational risks are effectively managed.Ou Pukenga? - What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:Senior marketing and/or customer strategy experience.Strategic planning skills, including ability to craft and present strategic recommendations.Insight development, an inquisitive mindset and ability to identify and develop customer insight.Industry expertise, understanding of core market dynamics and customer insights of the retail banking market.Excellent interpersonal skills, to build and influence positive collaborative relationships with mid-senior level internal stakeholders.Problem solving & numerical skills, including strong ability to interpret customer analytics into action.Partner management skills, ability to build positive and productive relationships with external marketing partners.Strong sense of judgement and decision making skills, incorporating grasp of detail as well as wider knowledge of business context.Persuasion and influencing skills, including ability to confidently present and gain buy-in to strategic recommendation.Regulatory and compliance knowledge of the banking sector.People leadership, coaching & mentoring skills.Highly organised, excellent prioritisation and capacity management skills.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
