What you will be doing As the Head of Payments at Tower, you'll be at the forefront of revolutionizing our payment strategies across New Zealand and the Pacific. Your mission? To craft and implement cutting-edge, digital-first payment solutions that align with Tower's goals and drive our strategic vision forward.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You'll ensure Tower stays ahead in the digital payments landscape by championing new technologies and trends. Your role involves seamless collaboration with various stakeholders to align our payment strategies with broader business objectives.
Compliance and risk management are key. You'll ensure all processes meet regulatory standards while maintaining high ethical standards. Your focus on process excellence will drive efficiencies and enhance the overall customer experience.

Dive into the Heart of Your Responsibilities: Develop a clear strategy and have ownership on the process from procure - to - pay over payments across customer payments, supplier payments and claims payments.Work closely with stakeholders across the business such as Claims, Customer Service, Customer Experience Squads and Technology to align with strategic objectives.Create and execute payment strategies that align with Tower Insurance's overall objectives.Drive innovation in payment solutions, leveraging new technologies and trends.Monitor and analyse payment trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.Develop a strategic roadmap for the payments function, aligning with the company`s digital transformation initiatives.Champion digital adoption, focusing on driving digital ways to enhance payment structures and platforms.What You'll Need The ideal candidate is a digital innovator with extensive experience in payment technologies, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of driving digital transformation and enhancing payment solutions through cutting-edge technologies.
To be successful in this role, you will also demonstrate the following:
8-10 years' experience in payments, preferably within the insurance or financial services industryProven experience in leading payment functions, managing teams, and implementing process improvementsProven experience and expertise in digital payment strategies and digital payment technologyKnowledge of New Zealand payment systems, banking infrastructure and relevant regulations (including AML, KYC and payment compliance)Our Commitment We pride ourselves on encouraging everyone to bring their whole selves to work, embracing diverse opinions, experiences, and backgrounds.
