As a cooperative business, the ITM National Support office exists to support the members throughout New Zealand.Here is a very exciting opportunity to join the ITM National Support office in a newly created role – Head of Operations. Working closely with the General Manager of Category & Performance, this role will have a core focus on leading ITM's performance strategy to deliver shareholder value.About the role:Contributing to the financial performance of ITM through active involvement in recommending, advocating, and supporting process efficiency and operational effectiveness.Monitoring and providing operational, HR, and financial process advice to improve the performance of member store operations.Actively managing team members (2 x Direct Reports) to deliver against the requirements of their roles, in the organisation's best interest, and in line with policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.Proactively monitoring the ITM network performance and offering best practice to assist with commercial improvement.Ensuring ITM member store staff are trained and motivated in line with company initiatives, and that ITM is developing the best people.Building strong and credible relationships to become a Trusted Advisor for member stores.About you:You have demonstrated success in managing operations within the building or closely related retail/trade industry, with a focus on achieving business objectives and driving team performance. Alternatively, you have experience in a co-op/franchise model.You possess a strong understanding of commercial value drivers in a trade/retail environment.You demonstrate a dynamic approach to identifying and addressing business requirements, and actively seeking opportunities for growth and improvement.You are a forward-thinker, with the ability to anticipate and address future market challenges through a national retail chain.You have solid business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset – that will go a long way in this role as there is plenty of room to grow and develop through the business.This is a smart career move for an ambitious candidate looking to continue to build on their leadership experience – a genuine opportunity to make a significant impact!
