From transport infrastructure to customer-focused solutions, we're creating seamless journeys across our city that enable businesses and Aucklanders to thrive.The Infrastructure and Place Division is responsible for delivery of the infrastructure capital programme, together with renewals and maintenance of all existing transport infrastructure assets.The purpose of the Head of Level Crossing is to lead a high performing team managing delivery of the rail level crossing capital works programme.The team has responsibility for delivery of the rail level crossing programme in accordance with the RLTP and Rail programme Business case. This includes the pre CRL level crossing removals, delivery of the Takanini level crossing grade separation, delivery of Future Tranches of level crossing programme, overseeing Level Crossing Safety Impact Assessments (LCSIA), overseeing preparation of business cases to secure approved funding for the level crossing programme.The programme will consider road/rail network wide impacts and wider opportunities for redevelopment / regeneration around crossings (placemaking) and innovative funding and delivery mechanisms.The Team will work closely with the Rail Services Group in PTAM, and the Traffic Operations Group in CNP, ensuring disruption is minimised, customer communications are streamlined, and operational requirements are achieved.Oversight and leadership to ensure the successful delivery of the rail level crossing programme, within budget/forecast, on time and mitigate reputational risks for AT.Representing AT on Rail Infrastructure Governance Groups and Project Alliance Boards.Working collaboratively across the organisation to achieve AT's capital investment priorities and strategic outcomes.Oversee the development of rail level crossing project business cases with the support of Transport Investment Team, and facilitate Technical / SME input to investment cases.Preparing reports for relevant governance groups (ELT, Board, Joint System Governance Group, Rail Programme Control Group, PT Portfolio Steering Group, etc)Engaging with and influencing key stakeholders including funders (AC and Waka Kotahi), elected representatives, industry representatives, delivery partners etc.Leading the development and implementation of procurement strategies for rail level crossing projects.Minimum Requirements:Tertiary Degree in Engineering, Planning, Management, Business or equivalentPost graduate qualification in Engineering, Planning, Management or BusinessProfessional membership in relevant industry association20 years' professional engineering management experience in complex transport infrastructure developments15 years' experience in a leadership role10 years' experience with rail infrastructureAt AT, we embrace inclusion and fully support building a diverse workplace where people come first and we feel safe, respected, valued and supported, inclusive of our differences.
