St Mary's College (Wellington) Head of Learning Area - Learning Support Full time, Permanent Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Middle leadership English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Maori, The Arts 2MU + 1MMA St Mary's College is a well-resourced state-integrated Catholic secondary school for girls (Y9–13) located in central Wellington. We are looking for a full-time, permanent Head of Learning Area - Learning Support , starting at the beginning of term 1, 2025. We need an experienced, skilled, and astute teacher and leader who can establish and develop culturally responsive and achievement-centered relationships with our students and whanau. Our ideal candidate will have excellent pedagogical knowledge of learner/learning support along with the ability to identify individual student needs and develop accessible programmes to meet those needs. The appointee will have the ability to design and coordinate programmes that will grow the confidence of individuals in literacy and numeracy, in particular, and support their sense of belonging in the school. The appointee will be driven by the desire to ensure every student can find personal and academic success in ways that nurture their dignity, purpose, and future options. As part of our wider St Mary's College team, the appointee will demonstrate commitment to collaboration, working effectively with others in order to achieve the best possible results.
