Position Overview:
They wish to hire a Head of IT whose primary objectives will be:
The development and execution of an IT strategy that supports the company's strategic objectives.
Management of the IT team and the day-to-day operational IT requirements.
Working closely with the management team and key stakeholders on the prioritization and execution of IT projects.
IT planning and budgeting, and managing vendor relationships.
Implementing and maintaining best practice cybersecurity and business continuity planning.
Implementation and support of IT applications (especially ERP), network, security, and infrastructure.
This role is critical to the company's strategy and operational excellence, hence them looking for a senior IT Manager who will report to the CEO and be responsible for ensuring the company has the technology to continue to be a leading provider in its field.
They want someone who has been in the consumer goods/wholesale industry and who has seen firsthand the technology required to keep them a leader in their field. The ideal candidate will understand the strategy, administration, and operation of application software, particularly ERP, and can put them "ahead of the curve" in the wholesale industry. Candidates should have managed all IT resources including software, cybersecurity, networking, business intelligence, infrastructure, suppliers, and vendors. The ideal candidate will possess impeccable organizational skills, a highly motivated, can-do attitude, and be data literate, with a degree qualification.
The ideal candidate will already be a successful Head of IT, be a thought leader, demonstrably progressive, and a good people manager.
