HEAD of FUNCTION, BEVERAGE, HOSPITALITY AND MEDIA With Summer 2024 now as good as here, 2025 approaches with the promise of well awaited hot sunny days. There are a number of exciting Hygge Music events created this summer both large and small, Saturdays and Sundays, along with Business Groups, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings, Get Togethers, Family and Friend Celebrations. After being nominated and a finalist last year for the New Zealand Wedding Industry Awards and the Hawkes Bay Business of the Year Awards, there is much to look forward to at Hygge.
This position has become available with our current FOH Head of Function/Media moving offshore. We are on the hunt for someone with energy and desire, strong leadership, decision making, reporting, technical and creative ability who wishes to develop along with our Front of House Management Team. A strong ability to understand and utilise the latest Media technology with an ability to manage and direct all social, digital and analogue promotion and advertising is essential.
The position involves managing a diverse range of functions, leading and motivating our team, and providing the caring level of service and recognition we expect here at Hygge at Clifton Bay. This is a demanding position requiring self-discipline, organisational and technical skills. The bar has been raised, and we require a high-end talent to lead us to the next level.

Hygge at Clifton Bay is one of Hawkes Bay's largest cafes nestled at a seaside location that is unparalleled in Hawkes Bay. We are a growing business that offers daytime dining and are developing the events aspect of the business by building a brand as a venue for a variety of functions and events. Our mission is to bring a natural personalised and caring approach to service, creating a cafe that feels like home.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Hospitality Shining Light to join our fantastic and diverse team. Someone with high skills, who loves people and cares about food, environment, community, and business. Experienced hospitality skills are highly desired, but we are also looking for new people who are prepared to learn and grow.

Reporting
Hygge practices Open Book Management. All Senior Staff are involved in strategic planning, financial planning, forecasting, and reporting. An incentive scheme that recognises key financial drivers is in place with substantial remuneration. Training is ongoing and encouraged.
