They are committed to sustainable growth and innovation across their diverse product range, ensuring high-quality offerings that meet customers' needs.About the Role:McCain is looking for a dynamic and strategic Customer Manager to join their Retail Sales team, reporting directly to the National Sales Manager – New Zealand. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for implementing key strategies that drive sustainable, profitable growth for McCain across the Foodstuffs North Island (FSNI) banners, including New World and Pak'nSave.You will manage and optimise key accounts, including Head Office, in-store, and online, ensuring the alignment of McCain Foods and FSNI strategies into actionable plans. This role will involve the execution of promotional programmes, management of trade investments, and optimisation of the McCain portfolio to maximise profit and sales growth. Additionally, you will play a significant role in the introduction of a new category nationally, positioning McCain as a preferred category partner.Key Responsibilities:Implement customer strategic plans that deliver on volume, net sales, and gross profit, in conjunction with the National Sales Manager and category teams.Manage trade investment within agreed parameters, optimising return on investment.Optimise core range availability through category reviews, ensuring improved share of space and visibility.Manage relationships across all levels within FSNI, from store managers to the General Manager, ensuring alignment on promotions, pricing, and activation.Lead the execution of McCain's operating plan at the store level, focusing on KPI delivery.Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute marketing plans through FSNI Head Office and in-store.Manage the total FSNI retail forecast, contributing to monthly IBP (Integrated Business Planning) processes and ensuring proactive management of the P&L.About You:To be successful in this role, you will bring:A minimum of 4-6 years of sales experience, preferably within an FMCG environment.Proven experience in account management, particularly with key stakeholders at the buyer level.Strong leadership and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive sales and profit growth.Experience in forecasting, project management, and business analysis to identify key performance areas and develop effective strategies.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.Familiarity with business reporting tools such as Microsoft Office, SAP, and IRI.A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing) is preferred.This role is based in Auckland, New Zealand, with regular domestic travel required.If you are ready to drive key strategies, manage a portfolio that impacts communities, and be part of exciting projects that shape the future of McCain Foods, they want to hear from you!Click Apply now to become a key player in their continued growth and success or for a confidential discussion, please connect with Richard Gray-Smith on ******** .
