This role is key to driving excellence in dairy, dairy support, and grazing systems while embedding Ngai Tahu values in everything we do.About The RoleReporting to the General Manager - Farming & Forestry, the Head of Operations is a senior leadership role with accountability for the performance, sustainability, and cultural alignment of Ngai Tahu Farming's operations.
You will work closely with operational leaders and stakeholders to ensure farming practices meet our strategic goals and reflect the aspirations of Ngai Tahu Whanui.This Will IncludeStrategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies ensuring profitability, sustainability, and alignment with Ngai Tahu values and aspirations.Operational Excellence: Drive efficient, innovative farming operations, adhering to best practices in agriculture and environmental stewardship.Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, performance, and resources to achieve strong financial outcomes.Cultural Integration: Foster practices reflecting kaitiakitanga, whanaungatanga, and rangatiratanga across operations.Innovation and Sustainability: Promote technologies and sustainable practices to enhance productivity and environmental outcomes.People Leadership: Mentor and lead a high performing, culturally aligned operations team.Health, Safety, and Well-being: Cultivate a strong culture of safety and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.About YouA visionary leader with extensive experience in large-scale farming operations, excelling in strategic oversight and operational delivery.
