Long Bay College is a co-educational secondary school located in a peaceful location near Long Bay Beach and the new Long Bay Village. The school opened in 1975 and has approximately 1800 students with 160 teaching and support staff combined.
We seek an outstanding leader for our Faculty of Performing Arts. Our ideal candidate will have evident strengths as a teacher and curriculum designer. They will place a high value on high academic achievement, knowledge-rich approaches, and cognitive science considerate pedagogy with the capability to drive the professional growth of the wider team individually and collectively.
As a kura, we offer music, dance, drama, and itinerant music provision in our Junior and Senior Curriculum. Our Head of Faculty will be a driver of innovation and excellence, supporting high levels of engagement and personal excellence in both our curricular and co-curricular Performing Arts spaces.

This is a permanent, full-time position to start term 1, 2025.
The terms and conditions, including base salary and hours of work, for this position are set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086 (rates effective 2 December 2024), depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience. An individual's actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
