An opportunity has opened up to join our team as the head of faculty for our Biblical Studies Department in 2025.
KingsWay is a high achieving state integrated Christian school catering for Y1–13. Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono, and motivated by hope/tumanako.
This role is responsible to:
Effectively engage with and teach biblical studies in Y10–13
Continue to develop effective unit/standards which respond to student needs
Successfully lead and mentor faculty team members
Promote and support faculty professional development
Oversee the Lifelab devotional programme
Ensure whole school assessment, reporting, and moderation practices are being adhered to
Contribute to strategic Senior School meetings
Lead events/activities that support the schoolwide special character.
The successful candidate will have:
A theological qualification and be a NZ registered teacher
A high degree of pedagogical knowledge and learning strategies
A desire to see young adolescents understand, and grow in faith, Christian worldview, and knowledge of the scriptures
A proven ability to relate well and be culturally responsive to a diverse range of staff and students
Be innovative and digitally proficient
Be capable of developing sustainable systems of departmental evaluation and improvement
Champion the language, vision, and values of KingsWay School.
