Long Bay College is a co-educational secondary school located in a peaceful location near Long Bay Beach and the new Long Bay Village. The school opened in 1975 and has approximately 1,800 students with 160 teaching and support staff combined.
We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and pedagogically strong head of drama to join our Faculty of Performing Arts in term 1, 2025, in a permanent full-time position.
The suitable applicant should be knowledgeable and passionate about drama, in curriculum and co-curricular spaces, and committed to achieving success at all levels including NZQA Scholarship.
A familiarity with cognitive science-based approaches and their application to the classroom would be indicative of a strong fit with our faculty and whole school educational philosophy.

The terms and conditions, including base salary and hours of work, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086 (rates effective 2 December 2024), depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience. An individual's actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
