Cambridge High School serves the interests of the community incredibly well, meeting the varied academic, trades, cultural and sporting needs of our students. Places at CHS are highly sought after with families choosing to move into town to gain access to the school.
The Head of Department for our guidance counselling team plays a key role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development at CHS. This role involves leading programmes to build resilience and capabilities, working collaboratively with the pastoral care team, and fostering a school culture aligned with the REACH values: Realise your Potential, Engage with Purpose, Act with Integrity, Care for People and Places, and Have Courage to Succeed.
We are seeking a skilled professional passionate about supporting young people. The ideal candidate will thrive in a busy school environment, manage a caseload effectively, respond to crises, and work collaboratively to promote student wellbeing.
