We are looking for a leader who is committed to academic excellence and who will guide our students in both their academic and spiritual journeys.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the English Department, ensuring the curriculum is delivered in alignment with NCEA/UE standards and that it reflects the school's Christian ethos.Provide mentorship and support to the English teaching staff, promoting innovative teaching practices and professional development.Develop engaging and inclusive teaching strategies that cater to the diverse needs of learners, fostering a love for language and literature.Incorporate biblical principles into the English curriculum, encouraging students to explore literature through a Christian worldview.Monitor and assess student progress, supporting each student to achieve their personal best while also growing in their faith.Qualifications and Experience:A degree in English or a related field, along with a recognised teaching qualification.Proven experience in teaching English at secondary level, with a record of successful leadership or management within a school setting.A deep understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA/UE requirements.A commitment to Christian education, with the ability to integrate faith into the teaching of English.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a heart for serving students and staff.Potential for Literacy Coordinator and additional responsibilities across the school.How to Apply: Please send your CV, cover letter and completed Excellere College application and Special Character forms to (emailprotected) by 12pm, Thursday 12 December 2024.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?
