The Government has established Phase Two of the Inquiry to provide further recommendations on actions that will strengthen New Zealand's pandemic preparedness. The Department of Internal Affairs provides administrative assistance, where needed, to the Inquiry.About the opportunityReporting to the Executive Director you will:Help to establish and lead a high-performing team to deliver exceptional evaluative thinking, thought leadership, evidence-informed analysis and strategic advice to support Commissioners in delivering on the terms of reference of the Royal Commission.Play a lead role in the development and delivery of the work programme, ensuring it reflects the required deliverables.Support and contribute to strategic decision making, providing quality advice to the Commissioners and Senior Leaders across the Inquiry.About youTo be successful in this role you will need a strong track record of knowledge and experience in the following:Leading research and/or policy teams to deliver complex work programmes that have informed outcomes, were consistent with strategies or terms of reference, were within demanding timeframes, and met budgetary parameters.Leading advisory, research and policy professionals to ensure timely and quality delivery of research and policy products.Strategic planning and execution within the public service.Leading and working within a project environment.Research, policy and legislative environments.Senior stakeholder engagement skills.Applications close: 5pm, Sunday 15 December 2024For more information please contact: ******
