Head of Company Portfolio and Economic Development We're looking for someone with skills in managing a commercial portfolio and providing advice to governance boards to join our Company Portfolio and Economic Development team.
This is a fixed term role until 1 September 2025, based in our central Wellington office.
You will be a relationship builder, well-organised, a strong communicator and with a high level of personal integrity.
This role offers challenge, variety and the ability to shape our investment approach.
About the role: You will lead a small team to provide direction and support to council-owned organisations as well as representing GW in various regional economic development programmes.
You will work closely with the GM Strategy and other senior officers.
Skills and experience required: Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business processes Ability to take a strategic overview of issues facing the organisation Highly developed written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain positive, durable working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders Experience in governance and performance monitoring What we offer: Work to suit your life and whanau with our flexible working policy.

Salary range: The salary range for this position, inclusive of all benefits, is $156,139 to $234,208, with a midpoint of $195,174.
Starting remuneration will depend on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
