Head Of Brand

Details of the offer

About the role We are looking for a world-class Head of Brand, to lead and maintain Halter's brand identity globally. If you like to lead by example, work collaboratively, and take a practical approach to strategy - this is the role for you.
As Halter's presence has grown in New Zealand, the United States and Australia, we've continued to evolve our brand. We are now at the point where we need clear ownership of our image and identity: Any customer, regardless of their farm type or location, should feel connected to us as a company, and if you meet Halter at any event globally, you should be greeted by enthusiasm and authenticity. We are revolutionising farming, and we want farmers to feel connected to, and proud of, that journey!
The ideal candidate for this role has experience in global brands, has led brand strategy in a scale-up company, and is used to dealing with a B2B audience. Any agricultural experience is a bonus. If you never shy away from a challenge, are passionate about the customer, and constantly connect brand activations to commercial results - then you will thrive with Halter.
While this is a senior role with a strategic focus, we're a small, agile team with a dynamic culture. As such, the right person is just as excited about executing as they are about setting the ideas. You will be able to transcend from high-level ambitions to detailed planning easily, and won't have a problem with getting out on a farm or working the floor at events. We're looking for a brand specialist who goes beyond the big idea, to testing it is working, re-adjusting based on results, and always looking for improvements.
You will work closely with our Marketing Director, Head of Performance Marketing and leaders in each region, as well as with our designers and content creators, ensuring that our brand comes to life in everything we do. To start with, this role will manage one Designer and one content creator. We are looking for someone that can bridge being a do-er, with being a player-coach. As the function continues to scale, you will be a core part of our marketing leadership team.
This will be a fast-paced and demanding role, with exceptionally high rewards for the right person. It's an opportunity to take ownership of an iconic New Zealand brand - helping more farmers around the world discover the farming revolution that is Halter – in New Zealand, the USA and then the world.
What your day could look likeOwning our Brand Strategy: Halter has a beautiful brand, but we are ready for it to be taken to the next level. In this role, you get to take it from a New Zealand brand to a global brand, with a strong following of farmers around the world. You will be developing strategies to enhance brand awareness and equity and constantly analysing market trends, customer insights and competitor activities to refine the strategy. But you won't stop there, you know a strategy is only as good as its execution, and you'll run quick, data-based sprints to test hypotheses and improve our outputs - making sure that the Halter brand experience is constantly improving.Implementing brand initiatives across Halter: We are looking for someone that is as excited about execution, as they are about strategy. You will be working with the team on brand messaging and visual identity across all touchpoints, making sure we are always building trust and connection with our audience. You will work with our in-market teams to localise our messaging and images. In one day, you'll move from a brainstorming session with Senior Leaders on key events, to jumping into the creative processes for branding assets, including logos, packaging and advertising materials.Collaborating across the company: Halter's culture is big on collaboration - we are lucky to be a company of high performers, and we know that they work best when they come together to solve big challenges. You will work with the marketing, product and customer teams to align our campaigns with broader business goals. You'll be a mentor, and through your collaborative approach will show the wider business the importance of high-quality brand marketing.Making data-based decisions, every day: Everything that we do, should have tangible results. You will be a ruthless prioritiser, ensuring that we are working on the most impactful thing at all times. You'll use data and deep customer empathy to balance our short and long-term objectives, and will drive initiatives that will have a real result. Under your leadership, we will have clear metrics to measure our brand performance and effectiveness.Who are we looking for5+ years in a brand and content role, ideally for a similar high-growth business.Experience leading a team, and helping to coach and mentor the wider team on brand marketing.Proven track record of scaling a brand in multiple regions.Proven track record delivering impactful and successful end-to-end marketing campaigns.A data-driven approach to marketing with demonstrable experience gathering, analysing and leveraging data to adapt strategies.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to generate, or drive the generation of, compelling content.Experience leveraging both online and offline marketing channels.Experience working cross-functionally.High degree of ownership and ability to thrive in a demanding and dynamic startup atmosphere.Experience working in a fast-paced tech startup environment is advantageous. Why our team loves working at HalterDedicate yourself to solving real-world problems alongside an epic team in a culture designed around growth.A genuine and shared connection to our mission to make a difference in the world. The pride of joining an iconic New Zealand technology company.
