Mo te whai waahi | About the opportunity In this role you will oversee and develop strategies for our Animal Health and Nutrition categories at Farmlands.
This will involve analysing the market, identifying needs and opportunities, working with key vendors and partners and then implementing category initiatives.
This role is new to Farmlands and reflects the importance of this category in delivering on our purpose of improving profitability for our shareholders.
You will also lead a team of Category Managers, giving them clear targets and standards and holding them accountable to measurable results.

The role is based in Christchurch, New Zealand and we are keen to hear from candidates open to relocating.
Mohou ake | About you A passion for animal health and nutrition with enough knowledge of the industry to create a vision of what needs to happen with our categories.
A detailed understanding of the role of different channels to market in the NZ animal health sector and the role of retail merchants today, but more importantly the potential for the channel in the future.
Demonstrated people leadership experience with the ability to motivate your team.
Experience in the creation and management of a product offer that includes both range principles and technical service requirements.
Able to communicate complex or technical ideas in simple, clear language and the confidence and capability to engage with executive and board level audiences.
Financially and commercially astute - able to manage risk, focus on costs, profits, margins and new product opportunities.
