This is a rare opportunity, roles like this don't come up often. Due to an internal movement, we now have a position available for a Head of Aeropath.
The Head of Aeropath will lead the Aeropath team within AIL and ensure a profitable and sustainable aeronautical information management (AIM) and procedure design (PD) service line leveraging the New Zealand presence through local and global partnerships.
The purpose of the role is to contribute to the strategic goals of AIL through providing specialist leadership expertise in AIM and PD services. The Head of Aeropath is accountable for providing end-to-end strategic oversight and management of AIM and PD services, ensuring adequate resources (capacity and capability) are available to meet current and future commitments and being the point of contact for the Commercial team.
Key Focus Areas:Scanning the aviation industry landscape, understanding the trends and positioning the business strategy to successfully take advantage of emerging trends, technology and advancements.Providing thought leadership and strong expertise in the area of AIM, and PD services, with a focus on intellectual property (IP) that can be commercialised through AIL.Leading the strategic direction of Aeropath and implementing new AIM and PD services globally based on customer requirements, regulatory requirements and future strategic AIL objectives.Working collaboratively with the Commercial team to provide expert specialist input into the creation of future growth by sharing Airways experience in commercialisation of AIM, procedure design, and navigation (PBN) solutions.Planning the effective application of Aeropath resources by prioritising changing customer and organizational requirements, based on feedback from the commercial team and customer and developments in organizational strategy.Providing assurance that Aeropath operations are compliant with applicable contract and regulatory requirements, including adherence to the quality and safety management systems.Engaging proactively with key stakeholders, investors and industry influencers, for the industry and keeping services offered at the forefront of industry trends.Providing assurance that Aeropath operations are efficient and effective through the monitoring of management system performance indicators, including identification and implementation of continual improvement opportunities.Actively contributing to the AIL leadership team as it develops a high-growth, high-value global business.About You:To be successful in the role, you will have:
A relevant tertiary qualification ideally in aviation or management related field or equivalent level of experience in New Zealand or international senior/management role.Extensive knowledge of aviation and/or specifically the domains of Aeronautical Information or Flight Procedure Design.Project management qualification and/or relevant project governance experience.Strong results focus with a track record of achievement in aeronautical service development opportunities and in dealing professionally with external parties.Strong people management skills; an ability to motivate a dynamic team; show resilience and agility, and take ownership for the delivery of successful outcomes.Customer relationship and stakeholder engagement focus to value our customers, solve their problems, and exceed their expectations.To Apply:If you are interested in this leadership position, then please submit your application (CV and Cover Letter) via the job advertisement.
