Location: Hamilton City Employment Type: Permanent Applications Close: 21 August 2024 Our Infrastructure & Assets Group are responsible for the planning, designing, development and execution of our city's infrastructure and asset strategy. The Group includes development (including capital projects), operational infrastructure and asset management. What does a day in this job look like? This role sits in the Three Waters Unit leadership team. By working closely and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, you will develop and implement strategies and plans that will future proof the three waters networks. These include identifying risk, supporting growth, complying with safety standards and environmental expectations, and ensuring high-quality resilience and business continuity, providing assurance for the organisation and the community. This position also has responsibility on the IMT, advising and assisting during emergency situations and Civil Defence events. What we are looking for: 10+ years of experience from within the water industry. Significant experience within activity management and risk. Strong leadership specifically managing a team of highly technical individuals. A creative thinker, happy to challenge the status quo. The ability to lead self and others through change. Strong relationship management skills. An integrated approach to lifting the strategic involvement of the whole unit. A true collaborator with confident interpersonal skills. A relevant bachelor's degree in management, Engineering and/or Science/Business discipline. Advanced level of literacy with the Microsoft Office Suite. What's in it for me?
