Our current head kaiako is heading overseas, so we are looking for that someone special to lead our Infants and Toddlers room.
We pride ourselves on being an open, interactive centre where our tamariki and whanau know they have a place to belong. We have a spacious environment with gardens, an orchard, and many animals. We place huge importance on the natural environment and promote positive interactions with and in nature. We would love to have someone join our team who loves nature and the environment as much as we do.
We are looking for someone who is committed to supporting us in continuing a culture of kindness and respect and has a passion and dedication to tamariki in a play-based environment. You will be joining a team that works cohesively together and strives to ensure that routines are respectful, smooth, and flexible to meet the needs of our tamariki at their level and pace.
The ideal person for this position would:

Have a positive and collaborative leadership and working style
Demonstrate initiative and sound decision-making skills
Have experience in effective curriculum planning and internal evaluation
Be a positive role model to your team and enjoy mentoring and growing them
Demonstrate creativity and passion for working with infants and toddlers
Be able to develop positive and professional relationships with children, parents, and whanau and the team
Be highly organised and flexible, and have a commitment to professional practice
Be willing to get involved in our community and parent events
