Head Chef | Jervois Steak House Queenstown Foley Hospitality – Queenstown, South Island
Foley Hospitality is seeking a passionate and innovative Head Chef to run Jervois Steak House in Queenstown and drive the restaurant to further success.
Jervois Steak House is an authentic and premium steak house and makes no apologies for unashamedly celebrating a love of meat. It is the 'steak house to end all arguments.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will take ownership of the kitchen responsibilities, show passion for food and service, and be a professional team player.
You will need extensive knowledge of all kitchen operations and confidently run a service without supervision.
Lead a talented kitchen team and inspire them in a hands-on manner ensuring consistency across the board.
A pro at improving and maintaining wage and food costs.
Developing and training less experienced chefs will come naturally to you and you will have experience with the recruitment and induction of chefs.
You will have proven experience in ordering, rostering, and a strong knowledge of all Food Safety procedures.
This is a hands-on role requiring the day-to-day management of the kitchen and at times a section within the kitchen including food preparation and cooking. It is essential that you are available to work weekdays and weekends as this is a 7-day rotating roster.
