Skip to contentFoley Hospitality is seeking a passionate and innovative Head Chef to run Jervois Steak House in Auckland and drive the restaurant to further success.Jervois Steak House is an authentic and premium steak house and makes no apologies for unashamedly celebrating a love of meat. It is the 'steak house to end all arguments'.About you:To be successful in this role, you will take ownership of the kitchen responsibilities, show passion for food and service and be a professional team player.You will need extensive knowledge of all kitchen operations. You will confidently run a service without supervisionLead a talented kitchen team and inspire them in a hands-on manner ensuring consistency across the boardA pro at improving and maintaining wage and food costsDeveloping and training less experienced chefs will come naturally to you and will have experience with the recruitment and induction of chefs.You will have proven experience inordering, rostering,and a strong knowledge of all Food Safety procedures.This is a hands-on role requiring the day-to-day management of the kitchen and at times a section within the kitchen including food preparation and cooking.It is essential that you are available to work weekdays and weekends as this is a 7-day rotating roster.Why work with us:Very competitive salary50% discount at all our venuesTraining and developmentFantastic bonus structureStaff meals and drinksCarpark includedAnnual staff party and awardsPaid day off on your birthday after a year of service.You will demonstrate excellent communication skills and above all, a positive 'can do' attitude.You will receive ongoing training and benefits with the opportunity for overseas travel and professional development.
