Head Chef

We are looking to hire a Head Chef to join our team for our restaurant - Tikipunga Tavern, who will be responsible for the following:
Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings Approve and "polish" dishes before they reach the customer Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages Be fully in charge of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff Oversee the work of subordinates Estimate staff's workload and compensations Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers Ensure that the kitchen is always clean and tidy, organized at the end of service and each shift Discuss all issues with management and suggest ways of improvement Minimum Requirements: The candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience Able to work flexible shifts (evenings and weekends included) Team-worker Physically fit Able to remain calm under various circumstances Hardworking and passionate Good with time management Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional appearance Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 – $34.00 per hour
Schedule:
