Food Truck Head Chef - Creole/Cajun Inspired CuisineWe're on the lookout for a passionate and creative Head Chef to join our team and help us bring our exciting new food concept to life.
As part of our newly fitted-out food caravan, you'll be crafting bespoke dishes with a unique Creole/Cajun flair, all served in the welcoming atmosphere of our brew pub.
We have a solid starting menu, and we're looking for someone who can build on it with their own creative twist, all while staying true to the concept.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and execution of a Creole/Cajun inspired menu with a modern twist.Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and consistency.Conceptualise and create new dishes to expand and evolve the menu.Oversee the kitchen team, including rostering, training, and maintaining a positive work environment.Maintain a solid understanding of COGs (Cost of Goods) and ensure efficient kitchen operations.Adhere to and enforce food safety and hygiene regulations.To be successful in this role, you will need:A minimum of 2 years' experience in a kitchen management role.The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.A strong creative flair and a passion for crafting unique, flavorful dishes.A solid understanding of food costs, budgeting, and inventory management.A good understanding of food hygiene practices.Experience managing a team, including rostering and training.Please note:Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time.
