Head Chef

Saffron Restaurants is looking for a Head Chef to join our friendly and professional team. We have 3 restaurants located in the beautiful little town of Arrowtown (18 Buckingham Street) - Aosta, Little Aosta & The Blue Door.
Every day will be different; however, the core tasks associated with the role will include overseeing kitchen operations to ensure the production of quality dishes. You must be able to lead a passionate team, provide menu development, staff management, and preparation. Your ability to work under pressure will be well established.
The role will guarantee at least 30 hours a week and pay between $38-45 per hour.
You will have at least 5 years of relevant work experience at well-regarded establishments and must have experience in:
Creative menu ideas
Staff management / Rostering
Menu costing and control working closely with suppliers
Staff training
Ordering and stock-taking
Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate the culinary brigade
Ability to work under pressure
You will also need to be open to working weekends up to 48 hours a week if needed.
