Head Chef

Saffron Restaurants is looking for a Head Chef to join our friendly and professional team. We have 3 restaurants located in the beautiful little town of Arrowtown (18 Buckingham Street) - Aosta, Little Aosta & The Blue Door.
Everyday will be different however the core tasks associated with the role will include overseeing kitchen operation to ensure the production of quality dishes. You must be able to lead a passionate team, provide menu development, staff management and preparation. Your ability to work under pressure will be well established.
The role will guarantee at least 30 hours a week and pay between $38-45 per hour. 

You will have at least 5 years of relevant work experience at well-regarded establishments and must have experience in:

•Creative menu ideas
• Staff management / Rostering
• Menu costing and control working closely with suppliers
• Staff training
• Ordering and stock-taking
• Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate the culinary brigade and ability to work under pressure
You will also need to be open to working weekends up to  48 hours a week if needed.
