About the Role:Reporting to the Director of Culinary, you will have a pivotal leadership role in the Rosewood Kauri Cliffs Culinary team. This is a hands-on position. Responsibilities include:
Having creative input with menu development and dish presentationEnsuring adequacy of supplies at cooking stationsTraining, developing and supporting kitchen staffOptimising the cooking process with attention to speed and qualityEnsuring exceptional hygiene practices are maintainedMonitoring and controlling food costsSupporting the Director of Culinary with general administration tasksAbout You:The successful candidate will be flexible, have a can-do attitude, work well in a high-pressure environment, and want to push their career further. Proven senior-level experience, ideally with previous experience at a similar standard establishmentExcellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processesThe ability to think on your feet as we have many guest requests and menu changes each dayGood time management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitaskBe a team playerA hands-on Chef who wants to be involved with the daily operation and delivery of memorable experiencesCore to the success of the individual in this role is that their personal values are aligned with those of Rosewood Hotels: Ownership, Passionate, Transparent, Innovative, and Collaborative.
