Head Chef

We are looking for an energetic, talented and professional Head Chef to join and lead our amazing kitchen team. You will be ready to take on our established kitchen and take it to the next level. You will be in charge of the day-to-day operation of our busy kitchen. You will have great creativity in your approach to menu creation and use the best seasonal ingredients while maintaining consistency. A true passion for delivering modern, fresh and interesting food is what we are looking for. You will be able to work as part of a team and independently. Excellent communication skills are mandatory, plus you will already have experience with writing rosters, implementing all aspects of the food control plan, hiring kitchen staff and always leading by example.
A little about us Established in 2019, Market ST Bar + Eatery has been a big part of the Napier hospitality scene for over 5 years and has recently been awarded Best Bar in New Zealand 2024. Locally owned and operated, we have a true passion for all things food, beverage and hospitality. We pride ourselves on delivering big, exciting flavours paired with professional service in a relaxed but stylish environment. We have a strong local following and are booked out most weekends.
Hours of operation We are open for lunch and dinner from 11:00am, 7 days a week.
